We do Situated Art in Public Space

Working with public art means engaging in projects with installations, sculptures, and paintings as our subject, rather than buildings. Our artistic approach is rooted in an obsession for space, rhythm, materiality and form combined with a critical consideration to place, history, culture, and philosophy – just as when we work with buildings.

We frequently collaborate with visual artists, sculptors, designers in non-hierarchical and transdisciplinary collaborations. By opening up our work to different modes of thinking and doing – involving other narratives and techniques – we are able to create what neither of us could have done alone.

'Offentligt konstarbete - Fallstudier i konst och arkitektur' concerns how we encounter art in everyday life - outside of a framed art context. Everyday art has no clear or specific task. It doesn't need to be more or less provocative, thought-provoking, or easy to understand than any other type of art. However, it must consciously relate to the space it occupies and take a stance on how it engages with its audience.
